Lubuntu on an Asus Eee PC 701/4G and The Laptop Testing Project

I’d already tried a few distro’s on my Eee PC but nothing was providing the friendly, clear and uncluttered brilliance of Ubuntu world. There seem to be few developers out there actually testing these low spec laptops so I decided to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty. After rooting around in Ubuntu I now have a quite a respectable Lubuntu system on my netbook. Now I need to get into some Ubuntu QA testing (quality and assurance) and get some bug reports in so my discoveries actually get into a Lubuntu release. I joined the Laptop Testing Team, part of the Laptop Testing Project. Here is my launchpad page.

Until my discoveries are included in Lubuntu here they are for those who want to tweak Lubuntu manually. The problem is memory. Ubuntu and Lubuntu both install OK on an Asus Eee PC 701/4G but there is so much running that practically all the memory is used up. So when it comes to running Firefox the entire system is reduced to a giberring swap file thrashing mess. However this can be fixed by doing a lot of pruning. Here are some of my testing notes.

Please note: Lubuntu Minimal (mini.iso) 11.10 … https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Documentation/MinimalInstall … DO NOT USE THIS !  It cannot show the console (can see flashing cursor pixels along top). Probably wrong video mode.

Lubuntu-Alternate 11.10 … THIS IS OK

> Keyboard detection cannot accept “ė” key (can’t AltGr key?).

    – Solution … pretend European “ė” keys are not there. Just select “£” then it gets GB layout.

 > Memory after fresh install: 367 used, 132 free (out of 512. O swap. Should be 50 – 60 used ?
   Memory after optimisations below: 206 used, 281 free

    – Desktop Session Settings …

        > Turning off … SSH agent, Update Notifier, Cert & Key Storage, Check for New Hardware Drivers, GPG Password Agent, Secret Storage Service

        > removed /etc/xdg/autostart items … bluetooth*, gnome*, print*, update*

    – unneeded kernel modules …add to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf … rfcomm (bluetooth), bluetooth, parpot_pc, ppdev, parport (parallel port), joydev (gamepad/joystick), snd_rawmidi, snd_seq_midi, snd_seq_midi_event, snd_seq_device ?, lp, at12 ?, bnep.

    – Don’t use pcmanfm as desktop file manager ?

    – Remove xscreensaver ? used to blank screen.

    – Set noatime flag

   -  “modprobe acpi-cpufreq” activates cpufreq system and puts processor to 900mhz – or did “sudo apt-get install cpufrequtils” get it working ?

   -  unplugging power supply DOES NOT take cpu back to 633mhz.

The important part is turning off services and disabling unneeded kernel modules. That leaves just enough room for most Firefox operations. However it should be possible to get memory usage right down to on 50 or 60 megabytes. But until I work that out this should suffice for most 701/4G users or users of any low-spec netbooks or other devices.

 

Diag Gnosis 2012

This was my original diagnosis and I seem not to be too far off.

The chemical, intellectual and emotional poisons are creating a disruption within consciousness itself. We are strange beings. Mind IS the Universe, the Universe IS MIND. Everything is conscious. This disruption is augmented by various Siddhi manifestations that appear to be unhinged electromagnetic energies. Electromagnetic energies (Chi, Force) should be channeled through DNA and the DNA/Electric expression as the DNA helix that is the Caduceus around and through the human body.

The denial about this situation can only happen when there is a denial that the natural and “New Age” is wrong or simply does not exist. Denial of homeopathy, or energy healing or simply that Science has NOT discovered everything is arrogant, and while we do that we are being damaged by the very things that we deny exist. Denying a thing does not automatically make it not exist. Do you see what I mean ? We’re just painting ourselves into a corner while there is a DEEPLY dangerous situation going on here.

I regard it to be as serious as nuclear war. Many of the chemicals and drugs can be compared to megaton weapons directed at biology and CONSCIOUS ENERGY. Are we in danger of destroying ourselves ? Well, I don’t think this is the Cold War anymore. We are not in the twentieth century. There at least appears to be a change or shift in the cosmos going on. Anyone with senses can FEEL that I believe. The diagnosis would seem to suggest a treatment of concentrating on and REMEMBERING the reality of this situation. Remembering that we are all part of the a web of life that extends out into space and beyond. We are on the verge now of discovering life on other planets. Do we really want to fuck things up now while on the verge of that EXTRAORDINARY development ? I don’t think so.

Don’t give into despair.

Caduceus, Exorcisms and Abuse Survival

There seems to be something missing in the context of traditional Judeo Christian religion when it comes to someone’s exposure to evil.

As an abuse survivor I have had to face all sorts of trials on my path of recovery. One of them I have been aware has come very close to Judeo Christain descriptions of “Satanic Possession”. This is actually a very interesting field if one works in the area of the research of M Scott Peck. But the pitfalls are many. Look at this article for example and it is immediately obvious how exorcisms can be misused and lead to all sorts of misunderstandings.

I suspect these manifestations were indeed actually witnessed, because what are they (Radin fans)  ? … Yes .. Siddhis ! These are the same phenomena that are reported by Yogi’s. They are usually simply a distraction on the road to perfection. The central meaning of the word Siddhi is attainment or “be true to thyself”. However these phenomena can be very real indeed. They can also occur in what is known (possibly more in the West) as a Kundalini Rising. The rising and activation of very deep gravitic and electrical body energies. They are actually sexual energies. So I wonder what is actually happening in the exorcism. Are enormous of amounts of locked down/blocked sexual energies being released (this is rather ironic seeing as we’re dealing with the Catholic Church here) ? This would match very well with the work of Reich and many others. They identified a key facet of Fascism and therefore of evil itself as being the disruption of sexual energies. I also wonder if this is the key that Peck was missing ? Symbolically this would be the healthy sexual balance of the Cuduceus (two geometrically intertwining spirals of snakes) versus the more Greek message of the Medusa myth … sexual/snake energies gone horribly wrong and used for evil. What do you think ?

Natural News Radio is Great. But What is it with Mike Adams ?

What is it with Mike Adams ? What he has done for the natural health community is amazing but what I just heard on Natural News Radio really shocked me. Actually I think Natural News Radio is taking on a life of it’s own. It’s no longer dependent on Mike Adam’s. I hope he continues to thrive … but …

What shocked me ?

Well Mike talked about a “thin blue line” (not his words, I paraphrase) in this radio segment. He proposed that crime would spiral out of control if the cops fail to their job.

WHAT ?!

This is just repeating a KEY piece of propaganda and control by corrupt authority. The idea that society will fall apart without them. It is simply not true. Rebecca Solnit showed this in her book … A Paradise Made in Hell. When the doo doo hit’s the fan people spontaneously organise and protect one another. They don’t become powerless victims to crime. Of course there’s always a few opportunists who will try and take advantage of an extreme situation … but in her book Solnit shows … over and over, case after historical case, that people powerfully organise in these situations. In earthquakes and other disasters. Look at Japan. A recent disaster. I don’t see gangs of criminals roaming the streets there. Mike’s analysis does not follow ! The dystopian / Mad Max breakdown scenario is actually a myth. Most people will powerfully and often quite cleverly mitigate criminal or psychotic elements.

As worrying is Mike’s gleeful predictions of breakdown and people having to leave cities. He mentioned an EMP burst (as an example) destroying all infrastructure. He says this while laughing ? He talks about “those who won’t make it”. He sounds happy and glad that those human beings who happen to believe in chemicals or corrupt wars will be “wiped away” (my words, not his, but that was the implication).

I for one am deeply disturbed by this kind of talk. Where is God’s mercy ? Where is the Good Samaritan ? Where is Forgiveness ? It ain’t here. I wonder if Mike has given into hatred. That would probably come from hanging around with people like Icke or the nutjobs (sorry, but it’s true) that run conspiracy websites like Prison Planet.

Open Economies and Copy Left “open source” Hardware

After having worked in various companies and projects ranging from simple web development to complex, embedded systems all of us realised the great danger for the user’s privacy and security. Do you know what all the chips in your all-you-ever-want phone do? Are you sure that only you can control all data on your devices? Sure, this sounds paranoid, but think about it. Recent developments, such as the “Telekom scandal” in Germany and the IPRED law in Sweden have shown that customer data is not private per se. Play with this scenario a bit longer and you will see that the step to using micro chips to gather information on the individual user is not that big and who can be sure that it hasn’t been taken already? So our answer is: know your device! Only once the user has knowledge of ever piece of technology in his/her hardware and can decide what should or shouldn’t happen, do we regain real privacy and are free again.

NanoNote: how did we get here

Open Economy, user freedom, freedom for companies to “fork” a hardware design without crippling royalty and patent issues. Collaboration without endless duplication or man hours (5x R&D departments in 5x companies). A big UP YOURS to the system that rams “competition” and “free markets” down our throats (translation: not real competition, un-freemarkets). I want to live in this kind of world. A world where we share hardware designs, just like we already do with open source software. A world where micro-circuitry can be seen and checked by anyone. A world where these chips and CPU’s are not black boxes containing God knows what kind of insidious security checking and monitoring SHIT. It’s already breaking out. It’s a tweakers dream come true. Hackers, designers, creatives dream about this kinda thing. Companies who actually want to innovate. Hardware and devices. Gaming consoles and phones that actually GIVE the user the extraordinary functionality that electronics can really give. NOT a world of zombie clone iPhones brainwashing people into believing they have “freedom” and “innovation” when they are having a sick model rammed down their throats.

The pharmaceutical industry has been working on the same sick model. Closed development. Black box drugs that no one really knows WHAT they do. The natural health system has always worked the same way that Copy Left hardware works. Nature is open and SHARING. Natural health is open and anyone can check the history of a vitamin or plant.

And it’s PLAYFUL all this. I discovered some of this Copy Left Hardware stuff because I was checking out the CPU in the Supercard DSTWO that I just ordered for my DS. The design has some connection to open sourced CPU’s. It’s now possible to buy these parts straight off the shelf. These companies have proved that it’s possible to produce this Copy Left Hardware without over the top production costs. So we’re going to see the same kind of revolution that we have seen with software happening with hardware. A’men !

Using GCStar to Catalog Video Game and Music Collections

I’ve been cataloging my video games with GCStar. I started doing this with my vinyl as well which is helping me to repair my memory of the records. My memory of them was damaged by forced drugging of me between 2003 and 2006 with chemical weapon pharmaceuticals.

You need the latest version which is only available for Linux at the moment. A windows version should be available soon. GCStar makes cataloging very easy because you can just type in the title of game or record then hit return a couple of times and all the fields are filled for you. hopefully someone will write a rom/emulation search plugin soon as well.

There are other catalog creators out there but this is the one I’ve found that has …

1. Freedom as in it’s open source.

2. A simple interface that is not confusing.

Mechanism of Re-traumatisation and Control use in Domestic Abuse/Child Abuse/psychiatry

Well here’s something for 2012.

Last night I nailed this “voices” problem. The Hearing Voices Network and other support for people “hearing voices” have not got this right (at least, not that I know of).

I sometimes get a persistent memory loop of a loved one cycling around. This is no hallucination but is an actual memory repeating away. I now know the mechanism of how this is laid down. It happens when being traumatised or brutalised in a Domestic Abuse situation or other injustive/human rights abuse. The memory gets laid down badly due to the trauma and turns into a sort of loop. I could clearly remember where and how this happened. The loop/memory of my loved one was not because they were mistreating me (that was another family member), it was simply laid down due to being in an abusive situation in general.

Now, I have to do some research on this. There may be studies or scientific papers out there about this. But for now I need to reveal an important second part of this blog post.

I already had problems with these neural loop “voices” from a Domestic Abuse situation. But I have seen the same problem created by the psychiatric system. By the way I was taken to those guys as an attempt by my mis-treater to silence me speaking out against the abuse. In these horrific places we call “psychiatric institutions” people are put through the most perverse forms of brutalisation.

1. The original reason for their trauma (or other emotional/psychological problem) is totally ignored. This re-victimises people in and of itself.

2. They are given highly toxic drugs damaging to brain and body. These drugs are also psychedelic in nature (see the work of Ann Blake Tracy).

3. They are brutalised by being locked up. Their liberty is taken away. They are treated like criminals even though they have committed no crime. Outrageously they are even treated as “dangerous” when it is an injustice or abuser that is dangerous to them !

Now do you see what I’m getting at here ? While all this brutalisation is going on who is talking at you ? Who is acting out their perverse ways of treating perfectly normal people ? Who is justifiying these abuses by their silence and their insane belief in their “care”and “help”. Yes, the employees in whatever institution torture chamber that this is going on in. So exactly as happens in Domestic Abuse or Child Abuse the awareness of the voice of the mis-treater gets turned into a neural loop or mis-laid down memory that haunts the victim (and, I might add,  possibly the voice of innocent parties that may have been speaking around the time the mistreatment took place, just like my loved one above). This insures that there is a control mechanism there that constantly justifies the horrific abuse in the mind of the victim as “normal”. These neural loops transmit the attitude of the mistreaters at the time; that “it is your fault”, that “you are the one with a problem”. QED ?

By the way, this model of disease mongering is not isolated to psychiatry. It is their same one trick pony … cause some hypothetical “disease” and then ram it down the throat of the victim. This happens with HIV/AIDS where people are told that “they have a disease” and then are piratically forced to ingest highly toxic, killer, drugs (no choice of treatment is given). But as was revealed in Natural News Radio there are hundreds and thousands of people out there who “have HIV/AIDS”) who are perfectly healthy individuals without any drugs. They use natural treatments to recover from any drug usage or preexisting (actual) health problem.

This is a huge scandal. the medical literature documents all sorts of legitimate health problems and how to treat them safely without almost (or in many cases actually) killing someone. Not only that but we seem to be seeing around a 100 years of research into the effects of trauma being used, not for good, but for a terrible evil. To re-traumatise and control, and as a way to create life long customers for expensive drugs, and a political though reform system to boot.

So if you see this scandal breaking out in the next few years, don’t be surprised. It’s been here all along.

Pharmaceutical Chemical Technology As “Source Code Obfuscation”

I was reading about the XBox and the way the BIOS security was cracked in a few months to allow modding of the console and I had a bit of an epiphany. Many security systems (to prevent tampering, etc. Hiding of purpose and so on) use Code Obfuscation. The code is deliberately scrambled (but it still makes sense to the compiler) and routines take circuitous routes and use bizarre logic in order to confuse and mislead the cracker or hacker. This is what was used in the XBox in order to “protect it”. It was bypassed in a few months. So bare that in mind when you read the next few paragraphs.

This is what Pharmaceuticals do ! They obscure and obfuscate their own purpose. Not just in the marketing speak used but also in the actual chemical technology use in them. Technology no different in an intellectual or conceptual way from and iPad or iPhone or any other form of technology. The specification sheet for the drug Zyprexa/Olanzapine lists Manitol as one of it’s “inactive” ingredients (this in the wafer version of the drug). Manitol is far from inactive and is actually used to allow the toxic drug to pass through the blood/brain barrier into neurons. I suspect this obfuscation is also going on with the chemical structure of the the pharmaceutical itself and is probably not isolated to psychiatric pharmaceuticals. The chemical madness we have been subjected to is far from anything to do with health. The word Eugenics cannot be mentioned. Ayn Rand rants about clearing out the unwanted and reducing populations violently are politically incorrect. So why have someone snooping around your code noticing what you’re really up to ? Obfuscation lad ! Do you think these guys are complete idiots !?

We don’t put up with cars with hidden purposes or iPads that send all your contacts to everyone or even Xbox’s that can’t be modded. So why put up with pharmaceuticals that obfuscate their purpose and even the “code” of how they are altering and poisoning your body ?

Initial Documentation of Recovery From Neuroleptics After Initial Stage One Natural Health Treatments

Assumes initial recovery of endocrine (hormonal) and Serotonin re-uptake system (this MUST be done first !).

Neuroleptics come out of a history of Eugenics (Black) and human experimentation (Nuremberg trials). They are extremely nasty systemic poisons.

The psychosurgery violation of so called “mental patients” completely ignores established treatments for trauma and emotional problems in both the allopathic and natural health communities.

The psychosurgery basically follows the same model as so called “chemotherapy” Cancer treatment. The “mental illness” is treated like a Cancer. For example Zyprex/Olanzapine has Manitol as one of it’s so called “inactive” ingredients. This allows passage of the toxins across the blood brain barrier.

This causes brain damage. Damage to Central Nervous System along with general damage to organs and the body.

Neuroleptics are actually massive anaesthetics (pain killers). They are usually given to people with some kind of traumatic or emotional problem. If the person has also had their liberty taken away by being forcibly put in an institutional prison they will be being subjected to human rights abuses, mistreatments and behavior modification techniques. Some of these techniques were learnt from military interrogation techniques. Psychologists and Psychiatrists are known to work with the military and government (for example notice their involvement in “special rendition” and Guantanamo Bay). Also see some evidence.

This means that due to the pain killing effects of the drugs that massive amounts of pain are not consciously felt. The natural health community has shown that unfelt pain is laid down in tissues and needs to be released. Reich called this armouring and this can in of itself cause emotional problems and other health problems.

The overall intention of these drugs appears to be to put the person in a permanent state of neural seizure. This means that the person can be walking around in what is known as a Dissociative State where they are outside of their body and abstracted from their feelings and thoughts.

This seizure can be made worse by abusers or unhelpful medical personnel. It can also be misunderstood as being symptoms of a so called “mental health disorder” leading to risk of being forcibly drugged yet again.

Five years of recovery using natural health treatments can heal a lot of this damage but this seizure problem can be left due to remaining physical damage. Seizures are also related to trauma, emotional problems and shock from mistreatment in the so called “mental health system” and due to preexisting trauma (child abuse for example). This is known as “Functional Neurology” in the allopathic system.

A Hint of the Solution for Second Stage Recovery

Pain management. Burns victims sometimes have to use virtual reality when they are having their dressings changed. This has been shown to reduce pain by around 60%. The patient wears a VR headset showing a game based in a cold environment (throwing snow balls, snowmen). The same thing is possible with this neuroleptic problem using video games. There is a problem with the body/consciousness handling and releasing pain due to it being locked up in tissues. It was not felt at the time it was there (when being drugged, being mistreated in an institutional prison, or the disruption of handling preexisting pain from some kind of childhood trauma or adult injustice, etc) due to the pain blocking nature of neuroleptics. So a backlog of pain remains.

General natural health pain treatments can be used like Cherry, Willow Bark and Boswellia. But do these risk preventing proper release of the pain ?

Video Games can be used to reduce the pain – as shown by research into the use of VR for burns victims.

What other methods are there ?

Is the seizure / disassociation simply neural overload due to too much pain ?

Are neurons simply damaged or is there simply a big pain backlog ?

Can natural health treatments for hidden pain due to surgery be used here ?

Biology organises in fractal NON-HIERARCHAL forms. Information is handled from the bottom up. Energy/information stored as electrochemical signals in the brain/brain stem and heart behaves in the same ways shown to exist throughout nature by Chaos math. However there is a clue here about what Zyprexa/Olanzapine and other neurolepetics do; they damage/restructure neural nets into “square” based arrangements. Non-fractal. Is this why I now have trouble thinking clearly about Open Source projects ? I used to approach them in a totally chaotic non-organised way. Now I notice I sometimes catch myself looking for the “leader” of the project. This is no coincidence. These drugs are very good at crushing a round peg into the square hole of global corporations and “Borg” think. This is another key to second stage recovery: concentrate on reintegration into authentically human cultural society.
